pros: A real challenge for word puzzle junkies
cons: Just one amongst many similar games

There are lots of puzzle word game apps available, and if you like this sort of thing its really hard to find original games that are playable & worth spending time. This game succeeds on both of these fronts in that its an original game concept (well, original to me), and it is certainly playable. The thing that lets this game down is that it drops you solidly in the deep end from the start.

The game could really benefit from an in-game tutorial that steps you through the basics, even teaching you how to find words - because for anyone not used to the game it is quite challenging to find anything more than three or four letter words. If the game added in some achievements or challenges & started with easier levels then it would be much more accessible.

As it is the game starts with an 8x9 gameboard which makes things look very busy - the game could learn from a game like "Words with Friends" which presents the game board in a much more viewable, accessible format.

The game does implement 'themes' which allow you to re-skin the board to colours of your choosing - but stupidly, the settings you pick don't survive a game restart!

This isn't a casual game, but might be fun for word enthusiasts looking for something new.

I won't be keeping this one.
